I just finished uploading my photos that I took during my Gold Coast trip last Saturday. Not much pictures, as this isn't my first trip down to the Coast as most of my close friends know. yeah So, yeah, they're in my Yahoo album. The link is on the right side.
Anyway, I'll be going for a getaway trip with my sister and my neighbours tomorrow morning till Sunday. Not sure if my sister will be bringing the cam along, but hopefully she brings it along. hehe
I enjoyed my dinner tonight, as I went Sunnybank with some friends. That place has another name, which is, "Xiao Taipei" in chinese, as far as I know. No, itz not my first time, been there, done that a couple of times.
Had good Japanese food and yeah, authentic Taiwanese pearl milk tea. No, not that I dont get good authentic pearl milk tea in the city, just that I prefer this one @ Sunnybank if given a choice, as itz really thick and good.
Yeah..So, alright, I guess I'll keep you guys posted when I return. I'll
try not to be too lazy though.
Cheerz.

Heya!
As I promised.
Yes, update about my Gold Coast trip on Saturday. It was, I guess, my 3rd or 4th trip there. So, actually it was rather boring to me.
Not too bad. Made a few more friends during the trip, got to know some fellow Singaporeans, an American, a Brazilian, a few Germans, a few Norwegians and an Italian.
We were all brought to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, which is in Gold Coast. Took more pictures of the animals rather than myself. Com'on, u should know itz just soo not me to be sooo narcisstic taking pictures of myself. Oopz. Is anyone of my close friends like that? Nahz. I know better that it's a NO. Cheerz babez! HAHA..
Anyway, I took photos of the Kangaroos, Koalas, wombats and some other aussie animals. Had actually paid a packet of food to feed the kangaroos, and when I was feeding this cute lil kangaroo, another one came and joined in. Fed it as well. But it got so aggressive as to snatch the packet of food from me. Aggressive it was. But they're all still so cute to me.
After half a day was spent there, we were brought to Surfers Paradise. Yes, the beach. And, around it are shopping areas. Bought a Troll Doll* and some other stuffs.
That's about it I guess. Perhaps I've been there previously and that's why it seems a lil boring to me now.
Yes, the Troll Doll. I've been searching for it in SG, but was not successful. Perhaps itz cuz I didnt even know of the name, "Troll Doll". I used to have a Troll Doll when I was a kid. It had purple hair, and it was really cool and adorable. I guess I bought it for reminiscences' sake.
Oh well, will show u some pictures here while I upload the rest on my Yahoo photos link on the blog. Till then, I will update u when I have uploaded them all. Promise.

Just returned from lunch with my sis at her uni, had nice pizza. Her uni. is 10min walk away from home. But her research lab is a total of 20 min walk from home. Yes, I walked here so much more than I do at home in SG. Surprised huh. The locals walk a whole lot here, I swear! Anyway, shall tell u bout last night.
Yesterday was a pretty busy day. Alright, I wouldn't call it busy, cuz it was quite a nice day, like did things like I enjoyed doing. Shall call it a fulfilling day instead.
Had gone to the city to do a lil' shopping. Got a casual bag from Sportsgirl( http://www.sportsgirl.com.au ), and another casual bag from Strandbag, a top and a bottom from Supre ( http://www.supre.au.com ), and some snacks from Coles, one of their supermarkets. Have included some of the shops which have their shops online, in case you wanna view. The sportsgirl, btw, isnt actually a shop which sells sporting goods. Just visit the site, u'd know what I mean.
Headed home at about 3+, yes, it's a norm here for me. For the benefit of those who don't know: Cuz, it starts to turn dark by 4.30pm. Totally pitched dark by 5.30pm+. And went jogging with my guy friend. We made a deal of meeting up on every Thursday for jogging. Meaning he would drop by my apartment and then off we go for our jog. We jogged for about 25 min. Come to think of it, I reckon Im a lil crazy having to wear my norm, like really short shorts and just a tee-shirt, going for a jog in winter time. Call me insane. But I could bear with the weather though it was about 14 degrees.
Alright, then came to dinner.
DINNER. Went out with my sister's friends. They are pretty cool people. 1 Brazilian couple, 1 Kiwi(New Zealand), 1 from Chile, 1 from Canada, and 2 BROTHERS from Mexico, the younger one(who's returning home today after his holiday here), who's only 16(but he looks like hez ard my age), looks kinda CUTE, with his cute brown curls!!
Okie, here comes the 'thing' that I had to learn. When I met them, we exchanged the typical kiss and then a hug(with a cheek-to-cheek) gesture. U get that picture? Yes, like those you see in the movies. I know what most of you must be thinking. Yes, was I shocked? and, did I manage to do it?, am I right?
Ha. Firstly, no, I was not shocked as I was warned by my sis not to be shy by backing off when they do that gesture with me. But yes, being a first timer, I didnt return the gesture well. But they understand, like, the Brazilian gal, she says it takes time to 'practise'. hehe. I like her. Shez funny and nice. Oh well.
I've got a evening lecture at 5pm later on. So yeah, that's all for now I guess.
Cheers! ;)

Just had my first lecture and practical yesterday. Alright, what I meant was that term officially started yesterday. Evening classes. The thing is, I've got to go to uni. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Meaning I've got school on one day, and a break the next, which is good I guess. Im still trying to get used to using the term, uni, instead of school. Cuz no one here calls uni., 'school'~I swear! Cuz 'school' over here just refers to those who are in grade schools. Yeah, if u get what I mean here.
The uni. system is pretty much like poly life. As in, the module unit materials are all online, so u just gota log in, click here n there, blahblahblah..
Oh well.
My sister just got touched down from Adelaide last night. She was alright with my
messiness tidiness. I gota confess!~ I had a hard time packing up before she touched down! haha. How about that! But at least I managed to do it and keep the room back to its original condition. hehe The only thing she brought back for me was a bottle of red wine, which is not very helpful, cuz I can jolly well get it myself. I mean, wines here are really cheap, even below ten bucks, as long as you're in any part of Down Under.
Im still thinking of whether I should get a security lock for my laptop. Cuz the security of this apartment and the other remaining 3 units in this complex aint at all good. The thing is, my neighbour's home was broken into last week, while she and her house mates were away on a getaway.
The more ridiculous thing, was when she rang up the police at about 11+ at night, they asked her, "Do you want us to come down now or tomorrow morning?" I mean(and all of our thoughts were like), so whatz the point of calling the police at that time, might just as well called them the next morning. Oh well.
But my sis was saying it's no use getting a security lock, as the burglar might just hack the desk or seomthing. What do u guys think?
Oh well, I would be heading down to the Coast* this Saturday. So,
Jaciel I should be taking quite a number of pictures. Have paid for the one day trip with a friend whom I've made during orientation. Shez a indonesian chinese, cute gal I must say. Dont get me wrong. Just think shez cute. Esp her hairstyle. Makes her look like a china doll. haha. Have been making fun of her. Oh well.
*Heading down to the Coast, means heading to Gold Coast. Don't blame me! Im suppose to learn to speak like that, now that Im here, and everyone speaks like that..hehe
Alright, Im gona shower now and head to the City to shop.

Okie, I admit, I know I've been really lazy.
To sum it all, I've left Singapore on Saturday night and had arrived DOWN UNDER, as in, Australia, Brisbane.
Thanks to you guys for sending me off at the airport and all your gifts. Really appreciate it, especially in the can-be-seen-effort in the album.
Thanks, :
1)Mun Yee
2)Ru Ting
3)Terence
4)Yu Ru
5)Jaciel & Marie
6)Yong Chiang
7)William & Joyce
8)and of course, my family, and my godma(-->all of whom I guess will not be reading this)
Grandma and some maternal aunts and uncles of mine had wanted to send me off, but as I mentioned, an 'event' happened at home. Will not talk about it. Sorry.
Anyway, it's winter here and the air here is pretty dry. Really cooling in the day, but manageable, but not so at night, I've got to even switch the heater on, just to keep myself warm.
Have been heading to uni everyday. Taking the 'City Cat' everyday and everywhere I go. 'City Cat' is the name of the ferry. Hardly does anyone mention that they take the ferry, they'll go, "Oh, I took the City Cat here." So, clearer picture now I hope.
My uni. is 10 minutes walk away from the city, so yeap. That's my 'new town' everyday after lectures I guess.
The thing is, it's just so not me. Like, I've been home soo early everyday, by 3, or latest 4pm I will be back home. Cuz at 4.30 the sky starts turning dark, like SG's 6 something. And by 6pm, it's entirely dark, like our 8pm. But in case anyone doesn't know, it's 2 hours ahead over here. Say if it's 2pm in SG, it's 4pm here in
Down Under, can't say that cuz of Perth, alright, I'll just say it's 2 hours ahead in Brisbane.
Oh well, was in campus today for the international students' orientation, and tomorrow will be the orientation for the individual faculties.
Gosh, the weather here is soo soo, soo, cooling and it just makes me lazier than before, making me feeling sleepy easily. Come to think of it, I'm not even asleep by 11 or 12pm back home. But here, I am. How ironic it can get huh!
Okie, just took some snapshots of my room, using my webcam, just too lazy to whip out my sis's camera. No ME. haha. U know Im not that kind, unless Im in a new place for the exploration.
My elder sister's desk
Yeap, still her desk-up close shot of her teddies
that's the heater by the way. Shez gona scold the hell out of me if she sees that on her table(or anything of mine!)! hahaa, but she's in Adelaide now for a week. So yeap! haha. Shhh.
My desk. -->Not quite a complete one. Cuz i think it takes time to build up a messy desk. Yes, Im a messy one.
That's the shelf beside my sis's desk. And, the bathroom, and the box of instant noodles and other food which I've brought over.
My bed, okie, not so, my sis's bed. sharing with her. that's the fully mirrored wardrobe beside the bed.

Have been really busy with all the preparations for my studies in QUT. Been meeting up with all my friends, buying all my necessities, driving my parents around, blahblahblah.
On top of that some unfortunate events had happened at home(not literally home, but yeah-if u get what i mean).
Anyway, I mean, gosh. Its so soon. In about what, 19hourz and I'm off on my way to Down Under. I mean, in other words, Australia. Pretty scared actually, having it to be my first time taking the flight alone, and studying alone there. Okie, apart from my sister. whom Im staying with, well, the 'friendless' part is the thing which worries me quite a fair bit. Oh well.
Anyway, I had a really, really, really great night today.
Till then,
Cheerz.
