After more than four weeks without rain over here, it had finally rained last night, and this afternoon till this evening, which makes the supposedly-post winter weather really chilly. The weather outside is like that of the air-conditioner temperature, about 15 Degree Celsius, and with really strong and frequent winds.
Just came back from La Dolce Vita(pronounced as la-doll-chey-vee-ta), an Italian coffee place(and the boss is an Italian too) at Milton. Had an Italian white(hot of course) chocolate drink and a piece of Caramel White Chocolate cake. Sis drove us there, together with our other housemates.
Anyway, it's back to reality land for me yet again. Gotta continue with my assignments, and following that, I would be so cramped up having to have to study really hard for two tests which are gonna happen on the same day(Friday) next week. Gosh! So, do pardon me if you don't see any updates on this site for this two weeks. But I'll try, even for a short entry.

Yet another week has passed.
Coming up this week will be week 7 into my uni life, which just means I'm less than 12 weeks away from home. ;) Can't wait! Irony I reckon.
Have stayed here for close to 2 months over here with my sister and other housemates. Having to do so just makes me realised many things about myself, people, life and the environment.
I realised the feeling of hanging out with your friends is totally different when it comes to living with them. Some of you might not be able to comprehend what I'm trying to bring across here. But, I reckon you'll understand when you live with your friends in the future, if you have a chance to.
Apart from that, I realised I can't seem to understand how
some ladies can depend and live on their male counterparts, without wanting to actively find a job. I just think it's repulsive. Just a personal opinion. And do note that I'm not generalizing as I used the word, 'some'.
I've got this housemate of mine, he works 6 days a week. His girlfriend stays(almost everyday) at our apartment, in his room, and on some days, even when he's not around! The thing is, the groceries are being payed and shared equally by all of us. She doesn't pay at all but she never fails to turn up at the right time for dinner and, even when we don't cook, and my housemate isn't around, she'll just happily help herself to the groceries stored in the fridge! Hello??? My point here is that, wouldn't our groceries run out really quickly, if all our other halves are like her?
Yes, I don't deny that, the culture here is that, people normally invite friends for dinner. But this situation in my apartment just doesn't fit into this condition at all, if u get what I mean here. And yes too, I don't deny like, coming over once or twice a week for dinner is fine..but, 5/6 out of 7 days a week?
At times, I just felt like asking her, "U don't actually cook at home, do you?" or, "You don't do grocery shopping at home, do you?". Just recalled about the first week when I was here, I got to find out that she's looking for a job. But till now? It just shows how active she is huh. Oh well, I guess she can just live and depend on her boyfriend, my housemate for the rest of her life(or if she manages to actively get a job), just as long as he doesn't mind huh.
Oh well, personally, I just find it rather repulsive, like, how can a female like her still exist in this modern world? Aren't ladies in this modern world suppose to be more independent and be able to support themselves? Gosh...I don't know. Maybe after all, it's just me.
It's just my perception of we ladies should be. And maybe it's because I'm someone who prefers to provide for and support myself, and dislike the idea of males paying for my meals, buying gifts..and the list goes on..... Oh well..
Anyway, did anyone tell you that the colour, black is really good for people who are on the
FAT side? Black just does the trick if you ARE. ;) hahaha!
Cheerz and good night, people! =)

It was a public holiday here in Queensland(Brisbane) yesterday. It was the "ROYAL QUEENSLAND SHOW". Alright, it's not really a show after all. It was kinda like a celebration or something as far as I understand in the local context. Different states in Australia has this gazetted public holiday on different days.
Anyway, another calling for the holiday is "Ekka". In actual fact, the whole event lasts for a week long. There are different kind of celebrations at different locations, be it races, exhibitions, carnivals or whatever you name.
For myself, I went to the turf club for the celebration together with my sister, and my neighbours. Alright, their kind of turf club is not like our typical turf club, like, all u see is just the folks. Over here, everyone who goes to the turf club on this day are all really well dressed - the ladies in dresses, and the men in suits. I swear. Pretty cool I would say.
As far as I understand and had observed, it was pretty much an event for the locals to socialise, drink beer, wine and get pissed. Alright, the term, 'pissed' here, in the local context here in Australia, just means getting drunk. I seem to learn a lot huh. =)
Had been staying at home for the whole day today. Just too lazy to get out, thanks to the 15/30 minute interval-long-transport system.
And, anyone of u here, reading my blog. What do u reckon for a man's birthday present? HELP!
Thanks so much!

It had been a pretty busy week.
Just had a test for my module, Information Security and also, a presentation for another module of mine on the same day, on Friday.
Both went well. =) Am glad.
Was just reading a message when I woke up earlier on. Was feeling down because of it.
Sometimes, it just makes me wonder what this someone wants from me. I don't know, and I guess I'll never get to know. This someone actually told me that we can only be like what we are now. Gosh. I seem to always meet people who don't know what they want in their life, and I don't think I have much patience for that.
I'm gona work on my assignment now.
Cheerz guyz.

Im back. Back to my usual self. Am glad. It was pretty much of a horrendous week for me last week. But I'm really glad that it's over. =)
Well, I had my photos uploaded into my Yahoo account, the photos that I had taken during my short weekend getaway about a week ago to Noosa, another suburb/town. So, feel free to take a look if u want to.
Im gonna be really busy this week and the upcoming weeks as a number of my assignment deadlines are coming up, and there are quite a number of tests coming up. Good in a way I guess. I reckon the time passes faster when you're occupied with things to do, be it whether they are things you enjoy doing or not.
My elder sister wasn't too pleased with me having to keep talking on the phone. She feels that if a person wants to talk to u, he/she will contact u no matter how. Sigh. Oh well. I'll just top up my mobile credits on my own!
Just remembered that itz National Day tomorrow for Singapore. Nothing much with that. Just a 'oh-I-suddenly-remember-it' kinda thought.
And, one more thing before I forget, I seriously can't understand how some people can persistently use certain words when, they don't even understand the meaning of the word. I assume that he/she just loves making a fool out of herself/himself. Gosh. Can someone just point the meaning of that word out to her/him???
haha. Cheerz babez!

At times, I just think some men should just be more alert and careful when they wanna lie. Cuz they'd never know when their female counterparts might be more resourceful or intelligent than they thought they are.
Just a thought.

It's the start of August today and it'z already week 3 into my uni life. Time really flies.
I've got an upcoming quiz next week and an assignment is up next week, on the same day, Friday that is.
Alright, I've got sunburnt on both my arms and my shoulders. It'z mainly cuz of the weekend getaway to another suburb in QLD. I had much fun. Went on the trip with my elder sister and my neighbours.
1)Picked strawberries at the farm, have picked them before, so yeah, nothing new to me. But I just love the idea that I'm gonna eat whatever that I've picked u see. So itz the process I guess.
2)Bli Bli Castle. The place was pretty disappointing. Don't really know how to describle the place. Check out the site if u're still curious. http://www.bliblicastle.com/
3)Nougat factory. Have been to one previously. so yeah. But this time around, I realised I prefer french nougats to the ever-classic Golden Boronia hard nougat. Yes, I know they produce soft nougats too, but I came to find out that I love the French nougat that I bought from Tewantin, another town in QLD. It's 'nu-gar' here instead of the usual Singaporean 'noe-gert'. FYI.
4)Had a virgin stay at Koala's Backpackers, obviously a backpacker's place as the name suggests. Wasn't quite comfortable with the idea of sharing a common bathroom with strangers. Guess I still prefer a hotel to a budget backpacker's inn. Oh well.
5)Self-made chocolate fondue with strawberry for breakfast the next day, on Sunday.
6)Headed to "Cooloola National Park", otherwise known as "Great Sandy National Park" for canoeing and boating. Yes, boating. Like, the group of us rented a motorboat, and travelled through the long lake and back to the origin.
7)Headed for a good Fish & chips at this jetty, can't quite remember the name though.
And it was home sweet home back to St Lucia.
Cheerz guyz! Have a good night/day.
P.S:I will try to upload the pictures when I've got the time.
