Have been working on my take home quiz over the weekends, alright, not really. Just that I learnt to manage my time between leisure and work.
Headed up to Mooloolaba Beach on Saturday with my sister.
Earlier on in the afternoon, we had our BBQ with some of her friends over at our apartment. Yeah, it's a common thing over here to have BBQs in the day and NOT in the evening. Just thought I'd share that piece of minor info.
Have also been catching so many foreign movies with my sister and the Mexican couple, Fernanda, and Esteban. And we had just caught this French film in the evening, "Paris Je T'aime". A really good show which reminds me of Love Actually. And in the previous week, we had caught this German Movie, "The Life of the Others", another good one which has won an award in the Oscars..that's what I heard from Fernanda.
Anyway, it's late and I've got uni. See ya!

Just to let you know, it will take quite some time to load, as there are quite a number of pictures..
As promised, here are the photos that we had taken during our Easter break trip to Bundaberg and Noosa. In chronological order(actually).. Anyway, enjoy!~
Just on the night before our trip- Vig, myself, and AMY!!! =)
DAY 1: Setting off
~Dennis and myself~
From Left, my sister, Vig, Celia, Amy, Dennis & myself
Good weather, nice clouds
Was told to help him take this picture. How narcisstic can a guy get?!
We were at this Eumundi Delights cafe, just opposite the Eumundi Markets, surprisingly it was opened on Friday morning. Weird smile I had, pardon me~there was still milkshake in my mouth. And yes, the thing that was written on the paper was: "Public Holiday, 15% surcharge"
Camp site at NoosaTent 1 - in which my sister, Dennis & myself slept in.
Tent 2 - in which Vig, Amy & Celia slept in.
Myself, and Celia
Amy & myself. She's a really funny gal! Never fails to crack me up!
How can a camp be lacking of a campfire?(although it's a mini fire)
Day 3- Heading up to Bundaberg/Town of 1770s
Almost ready to set off on our second day
~Dennis and his car~
Vig & my sister after brekkie @ Mcdonalds(we didn't have a choice)
Apparently, Dennis was telling me how these 2 dogs just stood up and posed when they saw him with the shooting at them.
It was a long, long drive from Noosa to Bundaberg. Thank god I wasn't one of the drivers, and that Dennis's car is manual. haha
After the long drive, we finally reached the
Bundaberg Rum Factory.
~Bundaberg Rum letterbox~
~Myself and the big Bundaberg Rum bottle~
At the end of the tour, we were each given two shots of our choice at the bar.
~Bundaberg Ginger Beer Entrance~
Bundaberg Ginger Beer Factory. *Notice* it's a beer barrel.
Isn't this just so spectacular!
All 6 of us over dinner at the second campsite on the second day, in Bundaberg.
Doesn't this frog look too fake to be true? But it's a real thing. Spotted it just when we were about to sleep. Yeah, imagine that.. =)
Day 3-Bundaberg/Town of 1770s
Agnes Water Beach
At a Sundays market in Town of 1770s.
See ya!

It's been more than a week since I updated about myself.
It was a long easter break for us over here. It was a public holiday on Friday and Monday over here in Australia. Pretty long weekend I reckon.
Had headed up to Noosa(again) and Bundaberg for a getaway camping trip. Alright, I would have to admit this is my first time having this camping thingy. I had really enjoyed myself though, although it's really hard to sleep in a tent. We went there in a group of six. My elder sister, Dennis, Amy, Celia, Vig, and myself. We left on Friday evening and returned only on Sunday evening. 2 hours drive from Brisbane to Noosa, and from Noosa to Bundaberg, it was about 3-4 hours drive. Meaning, the drive home from Bundaberg on Sunday evening was a full 5-6 hours drive. We went in two cars. My sister's and Dennis's. Four of them in my sister's car and only myself in Dennis's car. Weird.
And on Monday, I had headed to Harbourtown with Junie for a really good shopping spree. Fruitful trip I have to say. =)
Alright, anyway, I'll try to upload the pictures we had taken some time soon. For now, I've gota get ready for an group assignment meeting later in uni. So, have a good day!

Apparently, I heard there were a few more quakes on the Soloman island today, not sure how reliable the news is though.
Anyway, I had pretty much enjoyed myself at uni today....for the very
first time. The lecture, or rather workshop I had attended was the IT Management module. This module has always been an interactive one.
But, this time around, for today especially, it got me totally engaged and interested in the module. Probably, because it touched on the topic of culture, and the different aspects and issues of dealing with it.
I remember this white lady, who's from Zimbabwe, in the lecture today, she was presenting her part of the topic on culture, and how she was telling everyone in lecture, that she had sent her son to an asian college or something, and she was saying how she feels that people who come from an asian background are generally more hardworking. It just somehow made me feel good, being an asian at that point in time. =) But no, apparently this isn't the first time I've heard of this remark, I've heard the statement from many non-asians(mainly caucasians) on many other occasions.
Later on, in the lecture, another fellow Singaporean gave a presentation on another aspect of culture. In his ten minutes of presentations, he had used quite a handful of swear words, which is forgivable, as I reckon he wasn't actually aware that those words are considered as swear words here in Australia.
Like, in one of his sentences, as he was giving an example of something, he went, "oh shit, blablahblah..."... I just thought to myself-Hmz..this guy still doesn't know how it works here. He reminded me of one of the very first few conversations I had with my friend, David Dickie. I remember, I said something like, "Oh shit, I forgot to...blahblahblah..". And David just went, "you just sweared!" I was quite surprised actually, so he went on to explain to me like how it's considered as a swear word, like how he would never use it in front of his parents, just like the infamous F word.
So, anyway, at the end of his presentation, my lecturer, just gave some feedback. He talked about how much he loved the different cultures, and culture in general. Then he finally said how he thought the presentation given by Vig(the fellow singaporean guy) was very good, and said how he should just cut down on his swear words. Greg(our lecturer) just turned to my side, where Junie and Ryan were just sitting beside me, and asked, "is it true that in most asian families, once a swear word comes out from a kid, a spank just comes from the parents?"
So I took the opportunity to answer and told him "Yes, that's true....but....." I went on to explain to him and the rest of the class like the phrase "oh shit", in our Singaporean conversation context, is just a simple exclamation, like how in their culture, they use "oh gosh, I forgot to do this/that..." So yeah, I was glad to share my culture with the rest of the people in the lecture, and even Greg(someone who seems so well-travelled), and whom I really look up to.
Well, culture, it somehow amazes me now.

It was quite a tragic day yesterday for people on the Soloman Islands.
I had just switched on the television in the morning while having my short breakfast before heading for uni, and the news headlines was all about the tsunami that had happened on that morning on Soloman Island. How sad is that.
Having to be located here in Brisbane, and it being in the East of Australia, we were given the warning in the morning as well, but I reckon it all eased down by the evening. I mean, thank god. But my heart really goes out to all those people on that island.
Anyway, I really appreciate my eldest sister for always being so concerned about us(my elder sister and myself) here. Like, she told us to avoid heading down to the Coast(Surfer's Paradise-Gold Coast) for now. I have no idea how major the news about this tsunami is on the Singapore news channel, but whatever it is, I just really appreciate her for being so concerned,
always.
Thanks my dearest sister.

Hey, how are you doing.
My weekend was pretty alright.
Had headed down to the Carrara Markets down at the Coast with my sister. As usual, it took us about an hour's drive.
Nope, their market isn't like ur typical wet market/supermarkets in Singapore. It's more like an all-rounded market. You can find nice art paintings, clothes, footwear, accessories, food, groceries even..and etc.
Had our late lunch at one of the cafes at the market. I had pretty much like the cafe, as it had a courtyard dining area, which I thought was really cool. Took a picture there.
Alright, before I end this post with 2 pictures,
Ru Ting : Good luck with ur paper!
Junie : Hope your revision is going well! =)
Right, bear with the poor resolution of these pictures, as they were taken using my mobile phone, as we did not bring our cameras along with us.
For now, enjoy these 2 shots.
This was the courtyard experience I was mentioning about.
